Wrong Way Records are proud to present This Other Kingdom, Dublin’s finest psychedelic outfit who offer an intriguing combination of neo-psychedelia enthused with untainted splashes of garage rock.

This Other Kingdom are Del Kerton (vocals, keys), Declan Dunne (guitar, vocals) and Git Sweeney (drums).

In 2013, TOK released an EP Sunlight, which attracted much attention to the band preluding the release of their debut LP Telescopic to critical acclaim; reaching the Top 10 in the iTunes and Irish chart. Since the release of Telescopic the band have gone from strength to strength, securing support slots for some of the best international bands on the scene including Holy Wave, The Cult of Dom Keller, TAU, Radar Men from the Moon and Yuck.

Rêveur is to be released on 21st April 2017 on translucent orange vinyl with purple splatter, CD and download – the eighth eye-catching offering presented to you by WWR for your aural enjoyment. A launch party in Dublin and Manchester accompanies the release, with a full tour scheduled for May 2017.

Comprised of eleven tracks we begin the journey with ‘Common Colours // Common Sounds’, a plucky guitar focused number which immediately marks out the intent of this album. ‘Eye Do Eye’ instantly ramps up the tempo, rhythmic drumming and vocal harmonies drawing attention early on. ‘Telescopic State of Mind’ is a nod back to their past, equally showing how far they have progressed as a band, with a more embodied sound. ‘Comatosed’ is the one to dance along too with its catchy guitar riff and keys accompaniment. ‘Chemikle’ continues this theme, with the addition of deep vocals and an empowered rhythm section.

‘Rays for Days (When the Sun Did Shine) and ‘Hellion’ work in perfect harmony side by side to create dreamy, shimmering vibes, similar to those invoked by the likes of Asteroid No. 4. ‘Morning Skies’ is the perfect continuation of this theme with a floating guitar riff, fading in and out of consciousness, accompanied by evocative lyrics and a rolling drum pattern.
‘‘नई दिल्ली सात’ calls on Eastern inspirations to produce an instrumental, drone laced interlude. ‘Valley of Nowhere’ and ‘This is War’ conclude the album with a moody continence, displaying to full effect exactly what TOK are capable of.

This Other Kingdom are honing and refining their sound with every rotation, mutating into a tour de force and this LP with its luring vocals tones, inspired guitar assonance and charged rhythms is for anyone who likes modern psychedelia, with strong ties to the sounds of the past.
